These DIY Jack-O-Lantern Pumpkin Solar Stake Lights are perfect for lighting your pathway or outlining your garden beds this Halloween - they're super budget friendly too! We looked high and low for pumpkin or Halloween themed solar stake lights for Halloween, and we couldn't find anything. We have this one area of our property that doesn't have any immediate access to electrical outlets, so I was on the hunt for Halloween solar powered lights and décor for the upcoming holiday. What to do when you can't find what you're looking for? Make it yourself, of course!
I found these mini (2.5") jack-o-lantern pumpkin themed plastic treat buckets at Party City last weekend ( they come in packs of 12 for $5) and then I began my hunt for solar stake lights that were on the smallish side (note: they sell these small solar stake lights at Dollar Tree, Walmart, and Dollar General during the summer season, though they can be a bit tough to find towards the end of the season.) I wound up finding the pictured solar light stakes at Dollar General. They were on clearance, so I wound up picking up all 8 solar stake lights for just $3! So all in, these DIY Jack-O-Lantern Pumpkin Solar Stake Lights only cost me $8 to make. Like I said, totally budget friendly!

How to:
- Drill holes in the bottom of each of the jack-o-lantern pumpkin plastic treat buckets.
- Take the base pole/stake off of all of the solar stake lights - set them to the side.
- Slide the solar light tops through the top of the treat buckets (with the solar panel facing up -refer to imagery above and below) and push the base of the solar stake light into the hole in the bottom of the treat bucket. Repeat this step until all of the solar lights are in-place.
