As a mom, I'm noticing that as my older children grow, the pressures to "fit in" and follow the masses, are mounting. Whether it be from their peers, the television media, forms of new media / social media or other outlets, it's literally everywhere they turn. That's why as parents, it's so important to consistently enforce positive messaging and guide them at every turn.
Encouraging my daughter to stand out from the crowd and be herself, has always been a top priority for me. I want her to use her gifts and exhaust her potential, without wasting time wondering what others think. Since the day she was born, I've been working hard to impart this valuable lesson, and that's why I recently fell head over heels for the GapKids ED line by Ellen DeGeneres. This fun line has woven positive empowering messaging into each piece, with great sayings and quotes - along with fun bright pops of color and playful patterns.
Check out the entire seasonal offering from the GapKids ED collection below. The girls in your life are sure to love this line, just as much as we do!
While most of the line is geared towards girls, there are some {great} select pieces available for boys as well.
You can find all of the pictured / featured seasonal pieces in this post, for a limited time, at GapKids retail locations nationwide and online at www.gap.com
More About The GapKids ED Collaborative Collection:
The Gap x ED collection and campaign is about empowering girls to feel pride for the very things that make them different. Not by encouraging them to be more like boys but rather encouraging them to be exactly who they are. The collection includes pieces for girls and boys and, in addition to the collection, there is a social element to the campaign. Using the hashtag #heyworld followed by a name - a girl's friend, mother, father or mentor can issue a call to action for social messages of encouragement and love to any girl in need of positive support, cheering her on through the power of positive words.
