I can remember the day this little guy was born like it was yesterday. In fact, I can remember welcoming each of my older children equally as well. I suppose it's like that for all mothers. It's one of those defining moments that is forever committed to memory, in vivid detail.
The difference with welcoming our youngest was vast, as we weren't the only ones patiently awaiting his arrival. Our older children were old enough that they were very aware, and they were just as eager as we were. Suffice to say when he finally made his debut, 13 days past his expected due date, he was welcomed with insurmountable amounts of love and joy.
The question, to expand or not expand after we welcomed our 3rd child, honestly wasn't one that I ever expected to entertain. The pregnancy was harder on me physically than my previous 2, and I truly thought that he would be our last. However, as time passed, I found myself feeling differently.
After a season of more growth and change, I can see even more-so now, how wonderful it would be to have another child close in age for him to pal around with. My older two are so close, it would be great for him to have that as well.
While we aren't currently expecting, and we don't know where this journey will take us, we're still moving forward in faith and if it's meant to be, it will be. Here and now, I feel so incredibly blessed to already have 3 amazing kids that call me mom; they're my world!
