The 2013 Girl of The Year's storyline is presented in two titles; the self titled "Saige" and "Saige Paints The Sky", both titles are written by Jessie Haas and are Illustrated by Sarah Davis. American Girl is also presenting a creative title in correspondence with the release of Saige, titled "Express Yourself: Use Art To Explore The Emotions Inside of You" [includes fun crafts and quizzes] by Emma MacLaren Henke. The gorgeous 18" Saige Doll includes her first book, titled "Saige" which follows this 9 year old young girl from New Mexico as she enters the 4th grade. Saige has a tenacious personality and when she's faced with the prospect of losing her beloved Art class due to budget cuts, she takes action by organizing a fundraiser to save her school Art program.
Though Saige encounters hurdles along the way, she faces each challenge with an admirable grace, that is sure to inspire young readers!
