A Little Bit About Switched At Birth From ABC Family
From the studio that brought you “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” comes a groundbreaking new drama about the upheaval that two teen girls experience when they discover that they were accidentally switched at birth. Starring Lea Thompson (Back To The Future, “Caroline In The City”), Constance Marie (“George Lopez”), Vanessa Marano (“Gilmore Girls”), Katie Leclerc (“Veronica Mars”), D.W. Moffett (“Friday Night Lights”), and Lucas Grabeel (Disney Channel’s “High School Musical”).
Bay Kennish (Marano), a talented graffiti artist with an edgy streak, grew up in a wealthy family with happily married parents and an older brother. Daphne Vasquez (Leclerc), an athletic teenager who lost her hearing at an early age, grew up with a single mother in a working class neighborhood. When the girls’ worlds collide, family bonds are tested, new romances are sparked, and they start to learn that it’s who they are inside that matters, not where they grew up. Relive the girls’ journey and catch up before the premiere with “Switched At Birth: Volume 1.” Including all 10 episodes plus exclusive collectible iPod skins, this two-disc set is a must-own for every fan!Without a doubt ABC Family is easily the most watched channel in our home. Over the past few years I've really enjoyed all of their original series. They give me a chance to relax and unwind from the day to day events that tend to keep me up, moving, and busy constantly. Switched at Birth was an instant hit, and it's easy to see why. I too was intrigued from the very first episode. The first season follows two young girls and their families as they all learn that they have in fact been raising each others daughters for the past 16 years, as they were switched at birth in an apparent mistake made by the hospital.
Though I had a chance to sit down to most of the episodes presented last season, I didn't see every one, so it's been great to have the collection of episodes on DVD to watch at our leisure. As an added bonus they've included exclusive iPod Skins (pictured above) featuring "Bay Kennish's" infamous "Girl With A Hammer" Graffiti Art from the show (3 skins included for iPod Touch 4, iPod Nano, and the iPod Shuffle). Whether you didn't get the chance to catch the first season of Switched At Birth, or your a fan of the series already like I am, the Switched At Birth Season 1 DVD collection would make the perfect stocking stuffer or gift this Holiday Season!
