So....Why the crazy face you ask?! I'll explain! I started off my week with a bang! I was on fire...seriously I ran daily I was prepared to run this coming weekend; I WORKED FOR THIS FOR MONTH'S! For the first time in a VERY long time - I followed through......unfortunately it all came to a grinding halt last week. I went to the grocery store at the end of the week and while unloading the groceries.....you see this handle........
IT BROKE! While I was carrying it in from the car ; and a full gallon bottle fell on my foot! After a few day's of ridiculous pain (comparable to childbirth!) I went to the doctor today and found out that what I thought was broken toes is in fact a toe and Metatarsal fracture (broken toe & foot)....I am beyond bummed.
I felt it necessary to explain all of this (really be careful with those handles!) as I am normally a stress eater......and had this happened a few months ago, I would have headed towards the junk food and wouldn't have looked back. I didn't though. Instead I had a yummy bag of Nutrisystem cookies .....felt sorry for myself for a split second (ok may a little longer;).....and kept it movin'! I've worked way too hard to regain my sense of self over the past few months to let a little broken foot derail me! After my first week back on the Nutrisystem program.......I've lost another 1 1/2 pounds!
So tomorrow I head off to the surgeon to see if the plan is to cast or if I need to have pins to repair the damage. This week, I'll be doing a whole lot of upper body exercises to keep myself moving!
Despite this small setback, I'm as motivated as ever to maintain my weight loss goal!
