I can't believe the Summer flew by so fast...much less that it's been 11 weeks since I began this journey!
This week has been beyond hectic (see a theme here? life has been hectic for the past few weeks). DH started a new job ( he is a social worker and was laid off from his job three weeks ago with no notice , which set us reeling). He was fortunate to have extensive experience, and found another job in the same field very quickly ( you don't know how thankful we are for that :) we thought the search would have taken much longer. Also, as I've mentioned my oldest child started school - he tested off the charts on his DORA and DOMA which sent us for another loop when they placed him at a 4th (and 5th for Math) grade level. The hurdles in trying to prepare him for school were a little differ ant than we had expected as he is only 5.
So how does this craziness fit into my weight loss update you ask? Let's put it like this.....in the past, I would have ate my way through all of this! I would have baked a cake, and nice pasta dish.....smother my feelings with food- that's just what I do. Though I have been a little overwhelmed, I chose to focus my energy elsewhere and stuck with the Nutrisystem program. Though I have been out and about allot ( and normally would have used this as an excuse to swing through the drive through of some fast food restaurant) I brought my meals and snacks along for the ride ( or day out )! I cannot stress this enough....Nutrisystem is great for those who are on the go - you can take it with you, and I think that is why this program has worked so well for me Those who know me can attest to the fact that I'm rarely stationary :) I need a food that fits into my gloriously (not a complaint I really do enjoy it :) chaotic life.
So with all of the madness going on here, are you ready for this? I lost another 2 pounds! Which now brings my grand weight loss total to 33 pounds! I feel great, and look forward to reaching my goal weight! :) It's so close now, I can't believe it!
